Fitness to Practise Operational Manager

We are currently seeking a Fitness to Practise Operational Manager.  You will need to be Lean Six Sigma qualified with previous experience of team management.

What will you be doing?
As Fitness to Practise Operational Manager, you will you will lead on business improvement projects to enhance the efficiency and quality of processes, procedures and decisions.
In addition:
  • Support and deputise for the Head of Fitness to Practise; work closely alongside other Managers.
  • Lead improvement projects within the Fitness to Practise department, undertaking root cause analysis and impact analysis to deliver and embed sustained, evidence-based changes.
  • Develop and maintain an effective change management model to promote the effective design, implementation and evaluation of improvement work.
  • Analyse management information and other qualitative data.
  • Review and develop systems for ensuring regulatory decisions.
  • Design and implement a recruitment and retention strategy for the Fitness to Practice department.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and accountability, where the team are engaged and motivated to deliver high quality outputs.
  • Develop, manage and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including representation at external events when required.
About you:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Lean Six Sigma qualified – essential.
  • You will hold relevant experience within a similar role.
  • Experience of working within healthcare, professional regulation, or other regulatory environments.
  • Experience of managing teams in delivering time and quality critical business processes.
  • Experience of project management and proven change management tools and techniques.
  • You will be highly analytical with critical examination and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong management, negotiating, relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with an ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
