Part-Time HR Advisor

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to be contracted for a period of two years on a part time basis across x4 full working days. This position offers some hybrid working with 20-40% of time spent in-office and the remainder working from home.
  
To be considered, you will need experiences across ER advisory, Strong knowledge of employment law, experience developing and updating HR related policies and procedures and employee handbook design and hold a CIPD level 5 or equivalent in experience.

Our client is a Central London based not for profit membership organisation for healthcare professionals; they are innovative and leaders in the sectors best practice.

What will you be doing?
As HR Advisor you will provide pro-active day-to-day advice to managers across departments.  You will also assist with HR related project and develop and deliver short bite sized training sessions on people related activities for managers including topics such as: selection, performance development, early complaints resolution, managing attendance and adjustments.
  
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide day to day advice and guidance to heads of department and managers on all people matters including probations, conduct, attendance (including Occupational Health referrals where needed), performance, pay and workplace adjustment needs.
  • Develop and propose a schedule of people related policies.
  • Recommend to Head of HR, develop and deliver a suite of bite sized master classes for managers around key HR related topics such as recruitment, appraisal related activities, early resolution of staff issues, supporting good attendance, supporting staff with disabilities.
  • Provide advice and coaching to the HR Officer to enable them to take the lead on providing advice and guidance to managers around probationary period challenges, non-complex attendance and minor conduct issues.
  • Provide advice and guidance on complex recruitment issues and assist managers with interview testing and question design and interviewing as needed.
  • Delivery of other projects as needed.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyse trends and recommend and implement solutions to help develop staff retention.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably expected, and which are commensurate with the level of the post.
  
You will need:
Minimum CIPD level 5 or equivalent experience. 

In addition:
  • Experience of providing advice and guidance to managers on the full range of people matters.
  • A good working knowledge of employment law and ACAS code of practice.
  • Experience of developing and updating HR related policies and procedures and employee handbook design.
  • Ability to build and sustain good relationships.
  • Previous experience of dealing with external service providers such as agencies and negotiating and agreeing Service Level Agreements.
  • Proficient user of IRIS or an equivalent HR database for administration, search and reporting purposes.
  • Flexibly responding to changing demands and priorities as well as an ability to prioritise your own workload.
  • Exceptional communication skills

The HR Advisor position is a 2 year fixed term contract opportunity located in Central London. Our client offers flexitime between 8am-6pm, opportunity to progress to a salary range maximum of going forward £39,994 (£49,993 FTE) and other great benefits.
  
The salary is up to (£41,298 FTE) £33,039pa part-time (salary is dependent on experience).  The working hours are 35 hours per week (9am-5pm).
