INTRODUCTION & COMPANY
Our client is a leading manufacturing brand with an historical reputation for innovation and product excellence.  The hire of a specification sales manager in the South East is a key part of their divisional growth plans during 2024.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business at the start of a 3-year growth and development curve.
  
THE ROLE
The specification sales manager role takes responsibility for the full life cycle of new projects across the London area.
  • Selling a range of building materials including high-performance waterproofing, insulation and repair materials into architects, specifiers, structural engineers and specialist contractors and installers.
  • Given the quality of both products and brand, the emphasis of the role is on creating specifications for commercial projects – both new build and refurbishment.
  • Typical order values are £100-150K but can be as high as £1.5m for more complex projects.
  • The role will entail engaging with existing architectural and engineering contacts, in addition to identifying new decision makers and customers.
THE PERSON NEEDED
For the specification sales manager role, our client is looking for a professional growth orientated sales person, but also:
  • Prior experience selling performance building materials.
  • Prior experience winning commercial specifications with architects in the London and South East area.
  • Confidence and adaptability to engage with and support all aspects of the specification project and sales cycle.
