Policy Manager

We are seeking an experienced Policy Manager to develop and lead policy strategy and internal processes.

Who will you be working for?
Our client are a non-profit organisation within healthcare.

What will you be doing?
The policy Manager is a newly created position formed to lead, at times change and strongly influence the way things are done within this organisation. As Policy manager you will lead on all elements of strategic policy and team planning.
  
Duties will also include:
  • Team line management.
  • Manage the development of policy through evidence based research.
  • Provide policy briefings.
  • Manage and develop projects including written proposals, project planning and budget management.
  • Engagement of internal and external partners.
  • Setting clear objectives and evaluation through business reporting on the impact of policy activities.
  • Identification of opportunities for engagement internally and externally.
  • Communication of policy and public affair priorities to stakeholders.
  • Writing policy articles and content to engage others.
  • Cover and report into senior management where necessary.
  • Any other Policy related duties and activities required.
About you:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Extensive policy experience where you have lead with policy development.
  • Experience working across multiple teams.
  • Ability to appraise and interpret findings within policy.
  • Previous experience within charity, government or research would be desired.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office based software packages and CMS systems.
  • Exceptional time planning and management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, a resilient nature and an ability to professionally influence others.
