My client is a sport, fitness and leisure centre in north London. They are looking for an events and marketing professional to join on an interim basis and fill the gap whilst they recruit for a permanent team member. 

This is a part time role working 4 days per week 
A temporary role starting w/c 8 April for approx. 2-3 months 

 
We're looking for a confident self-starter who can work well on their initiative but also has strong collaboration skills and a high degree of personal drive/motivation. The post-holder will be a dynamic and friendly individual with a go-getter attitude, working closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to organize events

They will work work alongside the social media team to oversee social media management, along with producing marketing materials for events, campaigns, and any ad-hoc marketing required. The M&E Officer will also work closely with HR for internal events such as workshops, staff trips, etc., and communications related to recruitment.

You'll need to be familiar with tools such as Photoshop or Canva, and support with internal communications and coordination of staff events.
 
This is a fantastic role for someone who is creative, strong management skills, well organised, passionate about climbing and loves generating compelling content!
 
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Events Planning – Organise and Co-ordinating events from 3rd party partners that take place at the centre.
  • Organise and Coordinating with internal staff and HR for staff events
  • Produce and review risk assessments for event activities
  • Liaise with teams and staff members at all levels across the organization in the planning and production of events. 
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in the day to day running of  communications, tasks such as copywriting, poster design, advertising, staff liaison
  • Co-ordinate and create engaging social media content with an analytic eye to monitor the success of the work
  • Regular reporting of events and social media campaigns
  • Provide friendly and timely responses to customer enquiries
  • Occasional requirement to work evenings or events to ensure smooth running of customer events
 
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Proven experience in an events role (2 years)
  • At least 1 year of experience in social media management
  • Excellent communication through a variety of formats including excellent written English/copywriting
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to stay on top of and prioritise several work streams
  • Tech literate, and able to pick up new apps/programs quickly
  • Knowledge of basic design/comms principles/PR
  • Familiarity with & knowledge of current social media channels
  • Proven experience in event planning/project management
