Facilities Sustainability Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an Facilities Sustainability Assistant to start immediately on a 5 month temporary contract. The role is located in Tower Hill, working on a full-time basis and is paying a competitive £15 per hour.

WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR?
Our client is an established non-profit healthcare organisation. 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Sustainability audits – To support the Head of Facilities with auditing the College lighting, waste, energy activities. 
Sustainability administration – To assist developing the file on sustainability initiatives. To support with regular reporting information and data representation.
Sustainability programme – To assist supporting the Head of Facilities populate a sustainability tracker for workstreams and contact follow up. Making calls and arranging meetings and follow up of actions.
Moves and churn – To support the Head of Facilities with the movement of office equipment and furniture. To use best practice for manual handling and protect staff and property whilst undertaking these duties
Security activities -  Assist with periods of front desk cover for breaks in support of the front of house coordinator or security and report any incidents and communicate using the college radio system.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience of working in a Facilities support role in a team environment 
  • Experience of working as security cover/keyholding response skills
  • Experience of basic maintenance skills
  • Experience of manual handling tasks, capable of lifting and carrying
  • Strong customer focus, taking personal responsibility and ownership for the achievement of tasks
  • Good communication and organisational skills including situations involving potential conflict
  • Ability to act on own initiative, within specified guidelines
  • A hands-on proactive response to work
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and keyboard skills
  • Experience of working as security cover/keyholding response skills
  • Willingness to work outside normal office hours on occasion, i.e., early mornings, evenings and weekends.
  • A basic knowledge of health and safety and a basic knowledge of manual handling is desirable
