Overview We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Independent Financial Advisory firm based in Central London for a Trainee Paraplanner to join their technical support team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing experience within an IFA environment who is looking to deepen their technical knowledge and develop within a structured paraplanning function.

The role sits firmly within paraplanning and technical research, with no expectation to move into an advisory position.

The Role Working alongside Senior Paraplanners and Consultants, you will support the delivery of high-quality, compliant financial planning documentation.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with research and case analysis
• Supporting the preparation of suitability reports
• Analysing client information and financial data
• Preparing review documentation
• Liaising with providers and compliance
• Ensuring accurate record keeping in line with FCA standards
• Supporting ongoing client review processes

This role offers exposure to complex cases and structured technical development within a busy and professional IFA environment.
About You This role will suit a candidate who:

• Has previous experience within an IFA or financial planning firm
• Is working towards Diploma qualification (or part-qualified)
• Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Is comfortable working in a technical, behind-the-scenes support role
• Has knowledge of Intelligent Office (highly desirable)
• Understands FCA compliance standards
