Safety Compliance Officer

We are currently recruiting for an Safety Compliance Officer to start immediately on a Temp-Perm Basis.  The role is Hybrid and based in Tower Hill- Paying a competitive £32,483- £35,760

WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR?
Our client is an established non-profit organisation; within the Healthcare Field. 
  
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
To promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the College and ensure that current health and safety legislation is adhered to by creating, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies.
  • Providing expert advice on a wide variety of areas such as fire safety, construction, safe handling of hazardous substances and all general Health & Safety guidance, across the College, including for our Divisions and Devolved Nations staff.
  • Providing a quarterly report and analysis on the wider College Estate at the quarterly Health and Safety Committee relating to accidents/incidents and testing.
  • Taking responsibility for ensuring that the College is compliant against all health and safety legislation and guidance – keeping accurate records and minutes, with close liaison with the Health and Safety Committee members
  • Attending and taking an active role within the health and safety committee
  • Monitoring and ensuring that all HSE documentation is completed and appropriately reviewed and updated
  • Ensuring Facilities related stock and equipment and required PPE is available and ordered when needed

ABOUT YOU
  • Health and safety qualification IOSH.
  • NEBOSH Qualification
  • Experience of working on building projects and routine building maintenance  
  • Health & Safety or regulatory compliance experience
  • Good written and spoken English and the ability to articulate and communicate clearly in a professional manner
