Race and Equality Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Race and Equality Manager who will ensure compliance with statutory duties, reporting obligations, and pursue best practice.

Who will you be working for?
Our client is a not-for-profit academic institution with a passion for increasing the standards of healthcare provision in the UK.

What will you be doing?
As Race and Equality Manager, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliance with statutory duties, reporting obligations, and pursue best practice.

You will put into practice working experiences with equality legislation and its application in the workplace. You will be required to take the lead in promoting equality objectives and alignment with other important business objectives.
Key Duties to include:
  • Implementing an engagement strategy and strategically managing the engagement network.
  • Ensuring staff are regularly updated on activity.
  • Work closely alongside HR to develop guidance and training on race and equality.
  • Maintaining high level working relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • Providing monthly reports on relevant national policy developments.
  • Undertaking policy analysis and research to support and inform policy communications to the Network.
  • Attending and representing the College at relevant external meetings and events. 
About you
  
You will need:
  • Knowledge and proven experience of working on equality legislation and its application in the workplace.
  • Experience, leading and promoting equality objectives.
  • To be a natural influencer and advisor.
  • Experience within the health sector desired.

The Race and Equality Manager will pay an annual salary of £41,650 - £46,130 (salary dependent on experience).
