Junior part-qualified Accountant
We are seeking an ACA or ACCA part qualified individual who has commercial accounting experience.  The successful applicant will need relevant experience in revenue accounting..

Who will you be working for?
Our Client is a highly established educational organisation.
This position is a permanent opportunity and will be home based with a phased return in office over coming months.

What will you be doing?
As Junior part-qualified Accountant you will take ownership for the for the delivery of accurate and informative management of financial reporting.

Key duties to include:
  • Providing support to senior management at the University.
  • Period end accounting for revenue, cost lines, university P&L; including deferred revenue, Accrued income, prepayments and accruals.
  • Review cost centre accounts and provide commentary.
  • Review University balance sheet accounts.
  • Work across teams to review variances to budget/forecast and prior year, providing commentary.
  • Provide support and assistance to the assistant accountants and apprentices.
  • Improve and streamline period end processes for revenue to ensure this is accounted for efficiently, on a timely basis and is accurate.
  • Assist with submissions to the University’s regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for the University Board.
  • Annual statutory reporting and accounts preparation.
  • Active participation in the completion of the annual audit.
  • Any other tasks to support the finance team.
About you:
  • ACA or ACCA finalist who has completed most of their exams.
  • Demonstrable experience in revenue accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Strong communication skills, with a willingness to liaise with different departments across the business.
