We are looking for a Digital Services Technical Architect to join our client on a permanent basis. This is a unique opportunity for you to join an invaluable public service organisation that will give you the opportunity to lead and define the development and documentation of Digital Technical Strategy.
Who will you be working for?
Our Client is a well-known public service organisation and are located just outside of Worcester.
What will you be doing?
You will be defining and governing how technical solutions are designed, configured and implemented and be responsible for managing and maintaining the digital technical architecture blueprint. You will be instrumental in developing technical models, plans and supporting business change. This will include recognising new initiatives, collecting data, recommending technical options, and making relevant proposals. You must ensure that ICT architecture meets all industry and national standards across all digital related programmes and projects including identifying any technical risks.
You will also be responsible for leading a team which will include mentoring, coaching, and developing team members. This will include monitoring team performance and assessing individual capabilities. You will also be expected to take responsibility at meetings and develop constructive partnerships with relevant organisations.
About you:
You will have substantial knowledge gained from direct experience in complex ICT environments; desirable to be educated to degree level (Level 6) or equivalent and to hold a ITIL Certification (Service Management), or equivalent framework experience.
You will also need:
- Formal specialist technical training in some of the following ICT systems; desktop, server, database, networks, telephony (or similar).
- Practical knowledge of Enterprise Architecture certified with a recognised framework such as TOGAF.
- Experience in leading and supporting other architects to deliver a cohesive end-to-end architecture.
- Exceptional communication skills: you will be managing key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Able to problem solve at local, regional and national levels.
