Content Management Systems Specialist – 3 months FTC              
London  - up to 60K

Role purpose and description
As a leading training company in the financial services sector, the content for our learning programmes is at the heart of their success. They recognize the need to constantly improve the way we develop, manage and deliver their content so we can continue our leadership in the field. For 2021, content is a key pillar of our strategy and a key element of this is content centralisation. As a result, they are looking for an experienced Content Management Systems specialist to join our team for a 3-month period to help transform and enhance our content management capabilities.
  
Their content comes in many different forms – e-learning, instructor materials, videos, study notes, and assessments. Regardless of the type of content, our objective is to create high quality, and highly reusable, pieces of learning content that act as the bedrock of the solutions we provide to our clients.
  
The Content Management Specialist will enable us to achieve this objective by focusing on the following.:
  
  • Undertake a requirements gathering process for a new content management system
  • Reviewing the market to determine a shortlist of potential solutions
  • Input to Business Case development for a recommended system
  • Developing a content management system implementation plan
  
  
Role Responsibilities
  • Undertake requirements gathering process for a new content management system
  • Work with key stakeholders to determine requirements for a new system
  • Rank requirements using recognised prioritisation techniques – MoSCoW etc
  • Review the market to determine a shortlist of potential solutions
  • Based on priorities identified by the requirements gathering process undertake a thorough review of relevant systems on the market.
  • Create a shortlist of potential solutions and rank these against key identified criteria (technical feasibility, amount of customisation required, cost model, ease of use etc).  
  • Input to Business Case development for a recommended system
  • Work with Content Director and other key stakeholders to identify recommended system and create Business Case for approval.  
  • Developing a content management system implementation plan
  • Work with Content Director and other key stakeholders to build a robust implementation plan to include the roll-out of the pilot for use of the system and then full rollout.
Role Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in implementing and maintaining content management systems or learning content management systems
  • Substantial experience of gathering requirements for new system development and ability to work with senior stakeholders and users of the system at all levels
  • Business Case development experience
  • Project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of systems in the market and current trends
  • An understanding of processes for the creation and curation of learning content, including digital assets, would be an advantage
