First, we work face to face. A lot of agencies set out to match skills to jobs, and that's where they stop. We set out to match people as well as skills. Meeting you and our candidates in person is essential to us. You'd think everyone would do this but they don't.

Second, we know our stuff. It's not just that Gordon Yates has been around for years - the team has too. Across recruitment as a whole, staff turnover can be pretty high. Here, it's as low as you'll find anywhere. It means we build a better understanding of our clients and each other. This leads to quicker, better recruitment.

Third, even experienced people need to keep learning. We invest heavily in training and development, and are proud to have external confirmation of its effectiveness via Investors in People.

Fourth, we're independent. Gordon Yates has owners who are hands-on and involved every day because they still get a buzz out of it. Sometimes we do crazy things like waive a fee (how crazy is that!) if we think it'll make someone's day. Independence means that questions get answered fast, problems get tackled immediately and you get better quality service as a result.
