Gordon Yates News
Why not join us
The people who work for Gordon Yates define our business. Always have, always will.
On the recruiting side we employ Recruiters, Senior Recruiters and Executive Recruiters - each level reflecting different degrees of experience and attainment. Pretty much all of our recruiting team started with us as trainees. Our trainee recruiter programme usually involves people starting out as Resourcers or Business Developers, i.e. learning one side of the business at a time while working closely alongside (and learning to mesh with) our front line recruiting teams.
On the training side we have Trainers, Senior Trainers, Account Managers and Administrators. Most of our senior recruiters have also been trained to deliver training programmes. Some of our senior trainers have also been successful recruiters. The nice thing about this is that experience drawn from one side of our business brings added dimensions to the other, and enables us to offer more scope for personal growth and professional development.
At management level we have Team Leaders, Associate Directors and Directors. Between them they bring an immensity of hands-on knowledge and experience. Being a small company though, everyone gets an opportunity to have a say in things. Being blessed with a high percentage of confident, articulate extroverts, that opportunity tends to get made the most of!
We're proud to have been recognised as Investors in People (a prestigious Government-backed award) continuously since 1997. Training and development is a continuous process here, from Day One onward, supported by regular performance reviews and development plans. We're proud of the stability of our team: average tenure here is amongst the highest found anywhere in UK recruitment - and still rising!
Our priority as a business must always be our customers. But team morale - and a sense of fun - is important too. When quarterly targets get hit we treat ourselves, mostly with company weekends away (recent trips include Prague, Vienna, Bruges, Marbella three times - we like Marbella!) but sometimes in other ways too (as the monster US-style fridge in the kitchen attests).
Current vacancies:
We have two places still available on our 2010 trainee programme.
