Hi Doug
First of all, thank you for the advice you gave to me and fellow attendees at yesterday's course. You certainly gave us food for thought with all your helpful guidance. I came away with the re-enforced determination to succeed more than ever in my jobsearch. Walking away with Gary, he informed me that he was so glad that despite his mother's death, he attended. He is also intending to attend your CV course and should be in touch. I told him how you had been such a great help to me and following the course I had reconstructed my CV and it was being noticed. He was most impressed with yesterday's course and the warmth he had felt from everyone. I wish him well and hope that he will attend.
Meanwhile I have some exciting news to share with you. I have an interview next Wednesday! Attending yesterday's course came at exactly the right time. Everything is fresh in my mind and so I am confident that I have a great opportunity to succeed. The position is with the chambers of XXXX, probably the most renowned barrister of our time. I shall be researching him and some of his cases as well as the chambers over the next few days. I am aware of the dress code and I know the location of the chambers well, but I shall be arriving there a good half an hour before the interview time to be sure. I shall report in at reception 10 minutes prior to the interview time and remain as composed as possible. Positive thinking and Adult Mode!! I am so delighted and really this is down to you and all your great advice and belief in me. Since attending my first course I have changed my life around and feel back on the right track.
Perhaps if you are free next Wednesday you might like to join me for a coffee and a chat; run through the interview, a sort of debrief so to speak.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Jill Morley

Hi Sarah -
Just a quickie to say that it was lovely to meet you on Thursday evening and I'm so sorry I had to dash!
Good thing I did though really as I was up at 5am on Fri as filming started at 7.30am and didn't finish until 11pm on Fri night! So getting plenty of sleep on Thurs night was a good idea!
I just love the sound of Gordon Yates the Company - right up my street. You treat people as people, love what you do and the people in your team have long-standing relationships with your Temps and your Clients (which means that people love how you work and what you do for them), and you're lots of fun!
Best Wishes

Dear Claire,
I thought I'd drop this little note to say thank you. Working at XXXX has been an enjoyable experience. I've been welcomed into the team very warmly and settled very quickly into the day-to-day routine. Everyone has ensured that my first experience as a temp has been a highly enjoyable one and I will be sad to leave on Friday.
I have been so impressed by how quickly you found me this placement and how friendly you were during my interview that I have recommended Gordon Yates to a friend. She is also doing a gap year and is currently looking for work. She should get in touch within the next few days.
I'll be keeping in touch.

Hi Caroline,
The role you helped me with on telephone coaching, I GOT IT! I started on 20th Sept and have been there 2weeks already and it is going great. I did have 2 offers that week but my preference was XXXX and as I was immediately available they got me to start the next week.
I had a few face to face interviews before XXXX's telephone interview, but what I really needed help with was being able to express myself on the phone as well as face to face. Had I not done the coaching session with you, I don't think I would have passed the first hurdle of the telephone interview.
So, I just wanted to THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Wish you and Gordon Yates all the very best.
Kind regards,

Hi Doug,
First of all I would like to thank you for all your efforts to help me succeed in my Telephone Interviews and also the training workshops. I cleared the second round of interview as today I received a call from Company's HR. I tried to stick to your magical suggestions on Hard Skills/Soft Skills and STAR method.
Thanks to Amy for all her assistance.

Dear Amy,
Since the session (which was really great and helpful, just as the first session was) I have tried various different types of CV to suit different applications. The last session was energising and made me get on with the paperwork, to be honest I needed the push and the one to one hour was just right for me at that time. The hardest part of the process is selling yourself, after the session I realised how negative I had been and so looked again at my selling points!
Finally I have a new job, as a teacher in a private school, so obviously I did something right! There is a 3 month probation period so watch out Gordon Yates, you may not be done with me yet! Please pass on my thanks and good wishes to those that run sessions – I have really enjoyed meeting your staff and other attendees.
Many thanks
Kind Regards

Dear Simon,
I am pleased to say, thanks to your positive job search session, that I have now been offered a job within the NHS. I took onboard how one should portray oneself in a positive manner, as well as sending thank you letters / emails all along the application process.
Many thanks for all your help and can you pass on my thanks to the girls in the office who helped with the online Microsoft Word course. I was able to put this on my CV as this was one of the requirements of the job.
Many Thanks
Kind Regards

Hello Doug
I just wanted to give you an update. Following my visit to Gordon Yates on the 2nd September, I attend my second interview with a company called XXXX on the 3rd September with the MD and it pretty much went how you said it would! I really enjoyed the interview and he gave me excellent feedback at the end and I came out feeling very positive :) On Monday 6th Sept I received a job offer, they offered me the permanent post at £32,000 company car and my own admin.......... Wow I'm so excited and I'm so glad that I went to Gordon Yates. I truly believe your tips and information helped me get through my 2nd interview.
Thank you so much, very kind Regards

- Subject: GOOD NEWS
HI DOUG,
Got some good news for you, I got the job. The training starts in October and the job in November, the salary is poor, but what the hell it's a job and I need the experience so one balances the other. They had 200 CVs for the vacancy and mine caught their eye, and that my friend is down to the work you put into completely remodelling my CV and for that you have my gratitude and my thanks, so please pass on my thanks to your team, and add one more success to your stats.
So thanks again for your time and effort. Without it I would still be sitting at the bottom of the pile and getting nowhere.
Thanks again
Kind regards

Frankly I am amazed we were able to cover so much useful material in just one afternoon.
Those attending got a great deal out of the session and I certainly hope to put these new found techniques to practical use very shortly.
